Derya Satın

Dear Participants,

Greetings, I am Derya Satın and as the Secretary General of LB Model United Nations Conference 2026, it is an utmost honor for me to be welcoming you all for our first official session. I am a sophomore studying at Karşıyaka 15 Temmuz Şehitler Anatolian High School, also known as Karşıyaka Anatolian High School.

We, as the members of the executive team, have worked tirelessly day and night to provide you with the best MUN experience that you have or might experience. There were days when we stood up until late hours just to have you in our conference. I am very proud of our outcome and hope that you would have a great experience.

In MUNs you will participate in international conversations and debates in which you may need to work hard. We have prepared you differing committees with ranging agenda items for you to choose the one that you would like the most. You may sometimes feel miserable or sometimes very happy throughout the conference, and we will be there for you to endure those times. This is an opportunity for you to explore some skills which are deep inside you, form some friendships that may last a long time, and most importantly create memories. Therefore we invite you to build those memories with us on July 1-2-3 in LBMUN’26.

Moreover, we expect you to develop in not only academic ways but also in social ways. We want you to feel safe and free and form great relationships that will last you for a lot of time as well as having fun and enjoying the time you are at the conference with your friends. The youth is never coming back and I want you to enjoy it while you still can.

To conclude, we are coming up with one of the best conferences you might encounter in your conference career and as the members of the executive team, we would be more than happy and delighted to have you with us throughout our journey with LBMUN’26. So, expect the best and we will expect you in our conference.
